Refund Purchase
A currently active member who had previously terminated empoyment with a particiating Chapter 411 employer and received a refund of contributions may restore the period of service by paying the actuarial cost to restore the credit.
Military Service Credit Purchase
Active members with the System who served in the military and who have at least 5 years of membership service with MFPRSI are eligible to purchase up to 5 years of membership service in the system as credit for their military service. The military service cannot have previously been established in the plan under the provisions of USERRA. In order to purchase military service credit the member must apply to the System and pay the full actuarial cost of such service. Please complete and submit the Purchase Service Credit Request form on the Forms page in order to request purchasing military service.
